Rebels SC & APFC partnership!

Rebels have formed a partnership with Albert Puig Football Code (APFC). APFC is a methodology created by Albert Puig that teaches concepts and principles based on the best decision making choices in soccer and at the same time fostering creativity.

Albert Puig is a world-renowned professional coach who made his mark as the Academy Director of La Masia (Barcelona’s youth academy) from 2010-2014. Puig was hand-picked to run La Masia by Pep Guardiola. During his tenure, La Masia produced over 100 professional players currently playing in the highest leagues in Europe.

Puig was recently named assistant coach of the Major League Soccer team – New York City FC on July 6, 2018. Prior to joining New York, the former Barcelona Youth Technical Director was serving as De Anza Force Soccer Club’s technical director in San Jose, CA.

For the past several years, the Rebels mission statement has been trying to establish a playing style that is both possession based for our teams yet promotes creativity for the individual player. We are always trying to find the best coaching methodologies that will improve our players’ ability to make the right decision in-game at the right moment. With APFC, we have found a proven methodology that will achieve the aforementioned. Puig’s vast and proven experience including his time directing at one the best youth academies in the world La Masia is encompassed in APFC. And we are proud that we will be providing this to our players and coaches.
